A set of cocuswood and ivory mounted bagpipes by J & R Glen, circa 1870 The pipes with gortex bag, stocks not connected to bag, velvet bag cover, Chanter stamped 'J. R. Glen, Edinburgh' together with a receipt for repair dated 1968 from J. R. Glen, and a price list from the same dated 1979, and correspondence from the pipes former owner to Gordon Stobo. Footnotes: This lot contains ivory and has been registered in accordance with the Ivory Act (Section 10), Ref XGVNLZD5 Please be aware that this lot contains material which may be subject to import/export restrictions, especially outside the EU, due to CITES regulations.
