Of Jacobite interest: An 18th century basket-hilted broadsword With tapering double-edged blade incised with an armorers mark on each side forward of the forte, iron guard of fluted bars of rectangular section framing finely fretted panels pierced with circles and stylised hearts, the side panels each with 'ram's horn' terminal pierced with a stylised heart between, fore-guards, scrolled wrist-guard, bun-shaped pommel with flattened button, and replacement wooden grip, with now detached paper label inscribed 'this was found on Culloden after the battle', 87 cm. blade, rusted overall.
