Typed Letter Signed ('Cole Porter') to Jean Hersholt regarding meeting the Dionne quintuplets in person, June 11, 1936 1 p (6 3/4 x 5 3/4 in. sight), on 501 Sunset Boulevard letterhead, Beverly Hills, June 11, 1936, matted and framed with a photo of Porter (frame 11 1/2 x 16 in.). In 1936, Hersholt portrayed the Canadian doctor who delivered the Dionne quintuplets in Country Doctor. Porter here thanks Hersholt for an introduction to the real 'country doctor' Dr. Allan Roy Dafoe and an imminent introduction to the quintuplets themselves: 'Ever since their arrival, and especially after your great picture, I have been fascinated and in love with the Dionne quintuplets.
