Deux dagues Ottomanes en acier et manches en ivoire marin (jambiyyas), Turquie XIXe siècle Two Ottoman walrus-ivory hilted steel daggers (jambiyyas), Turkey, 19th Century the first with double-edged watered-steel blade, the wood scabbard clad in velvet with silver mounts, sahh, 'true', mark to one side; the second with double-edged steel blade decorated in silver overlay, the scabbard clad in leather with steel mounts decorated en suite the larger 52 cm. long(2) Footnotes: Provenance Galerie Temoin, Geneva, 1998.
