One sheet, 10 x 7 1/2 in., with Truman's personal letterhead, dated August 10, 1965, and addressed to Cesare Emiliani, a professor at the University of Miami, responding to a question as to whether the phrase 'If you cannot stand the heat, get out of the kitchen,' was correctly attributed to Truman. The former president responded in the affirmative. With the accompanying free franked envelope and a copy of Emiliani's original letter. The Truman letter has two folds, and his signature on the envelope has a tear through the 'T'.
