ILLUMINATED CARTA EXECUTORIA. Patent of Nobility, Spanish. Small folio (12 x 8 1/2 in.) illuminated manuscript on vellum, 13 leaves, red velvet-covered boards, marbled endpapers, granting nobility to a family named Sanchez y Tordesillas, signed by multiple people on May 2, 1769 with paper seal. Document issued by Don Ramon Zazo y Ortega, King of Arms for King Carlos III of Spain. Frontispiece is elaborately rendered coat of arms with red silk guard, first page has royal seal. Small slip of paper with note dated 1832 laid in. Rubbing and edge wear to covers, ribbon ties partially missing, binding a little loose, some pages wrinkled.
