KATSUSHIKA HOKUSAI (1760-1849) TWO WOODBLOCK PRINTS Japan, later editions, one depicting a woman with two children, signed 'Saki no Hokusai litsu hitsu,' trimmed and backed; and The Falls at Aoigaoka in the Eastern Capital, from the series A Tour of Waterfalls in Various Provinces, originally published by Eijudo, both oban tate-e, 14 3/4 x 10 3/8 in. Footnotes: Provenance: Alfred and Maria Tarski, Berkeley, California; then by family descent to the Estate of Eva Kristina Ehrenfeucht. Note: Purchased from Nikko Gallery, Berkeley, around 1962.
