A GILT-DECORATED BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER Japan, 19th century, hexagonal, with S-shape ribbon handles, the compressed body decorated with gilt deer and dragon in two shaped panels, the six-sided straight neck with two floral designs, gilt details on the lion mask feet and handles, the hexagonal openwork wood cover with a lingzhi-inspired carved stone finial, with a conforming wood stand with an openwork floral design in the center, overall ht. 11 1/2, censer ht. 9 5/8, wd. 8, dp. 5 3/8 in.
