SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BAR BROOCH, EARLY 20TH CENTURY Step-cut sapphires Old brilliant and cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 0.80ct total French assay mark Length 8.2cm Weight approx. 7.8g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to the unhallmarked white metal (testing as platinum). Pin fitting secure. SAPPHIRES Displaying a medium purplish blue hue with good transparency. Two sapphires with chips to the girdle visible under 10x magnification. Minor abrasions visible under 10x magnification. DIAMONDS Some chips and inclusions visible under 10x magnification. Bright and lively.
