TWO DIAMOND BROOCHES, LATE 19TH CENTURY AND LATER 1st: Star brooch pendant Old brilliant and single-cut diamonds, approx. 1.00ct total Rose-cut diamonds Mounted in silver and gold, later rhodium plating Length 4.7cm 2nd: 'Michelle' bar brooch Single-cut diamonds, approx. 1.20cts total Length 6.4cm Total weight approx. 16.5g (2) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Overall in good condition with light wear to the unhallmarked metal (testing as silver, gold and rhodium - later rhodium plating). Late 19th century with later brooch fitting. Clasp closes securely. 2nd: Modern brooch in good condition with negligible wear to unhallmarked metal (testing as platinum and white gold). Clasp closes securely. DIAMONDS 1st: Estimated as H-L, SI1-I1, some with chips visible with magnification. 2nd: Bright and lively, good commercial quality.
