CULTURED PEARL EARSTUDS AND TWO CULTURED PEARL NECKLACES 1st: Cultured pearl necklace with diamond-set clasp, 1987 6.6-9.2mm cultured pearls Rose-cut diamond 9 carat gold UK hallmarks Length 52.0cm 2nd: Cultured pearl necklace 6.0-6.5mm cultured pearls Inner circumference very approx. 110.0cm 3rd: Cultured pearl earstuds, 1976 4.9-5.0mm cultured pearls Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.20ct total 18 carat white gold UK hallmarks Length 0.8cm Total weight approx. 95.0g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Light surface wear to the 9 carat gold. Clasp stamped to reverse with UK hallmarks for 9 carat gold, poorly struck maker's mark (possibly JR) and date letter N. Clasp secure. Diamond displaying a soft lustre. Cultured pearls displaying cream body colour with rose overtones and good lustres. Nacre largely smooth with some wrinkles, blemishes and dimples visible under closer inspection. 2nd: Cultured pearls displaying a creamy white body colour, with rose and green overtones and high lustres. Some wrinkles and dimples visible under closer inspection. 3rd: Light surface wear to the 18 carat gold. Ear studs stamped to reverse with maker's mark (S&R), UK hallmark for 18 carat gold and date letter B. Partial green residue eye visible to one ear stud, would benefit from professional cleaning. Cultured pearls displaying a creamy white body colour with rose overtones and high lustres. Some minor blemishes to nacre visible under 10x magnification but by and large smooth. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
