A COLLECTION OF SEED PEARL AND DIAMOND-SET JEWELLERY, LATE 19TH CENTURY AND LATER 1st: Hinged bangle Old cushion-shaped diamond, approx. 0.40ct Half seed pearls Mounted in gold Inner diameter 16.5cm 2nd: Heart-shaped pendant/necklace Old brilliant-cut diamond, approx. 0.04ct Seed pearls Mounted in gold Fox-link gold chain, rose-cut diamond-set clasp Lengths: pendant 2.1cm, necklace 38.3cm Fitted case by Hunt & Roskell 3rd & 4th: Bar brooches Seed pearls Lengths 4.8-5.7cm Total weight approx. 23.5g (4) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Some discoloration and light wear to gold (testing as 14ct), in the form of light scratches. One dent to base of bangle. Clasp closes securely. Untested half pearls well matched with good lustres. Diamond of good commercial quality. 2nd: Overall in good condition with negligible wear to gold (testing as 15ct). Later fox-link chain testing as 18ct. Antique clasp with some tarnish, closing securely. Untested seed pearls well matched, with good lustres. Diamond bright and lively. 3rd: (Initials) Some light wear to metal (testing as 15ct), stamped '15ct'. Clasp secure. 4th: (Annular) Some discolouration to metal (testing as 9ct). Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
