THREE-ROW CULTURED PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, LATE 19TH CENTURY AND LATER Late 19th century diamond flowerhead frontispiece Old brilliant-cut and cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 2.50cts total 7.9 - 8.3mm cultured pearls Length 41.5cm Weight approx. 118.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Overall in good condition. The flowerhead frontispiece unhallmarked, set in silver and gold (testing as 9ct), with light surface wear commensurate with age. Converted from a late 19th century brooch or larger jewel (previous screw fitting visible to centre of reverse). The modern cultured pearl necklace, with clasp unhallmarked, (testing as 18ct white gold). DIAMONDS Old brilliant and single-cut diamonds, bright, lively and well matched, estimated as G-J colour, SI-I clarity, assessed in mounts. CULTURED PEARLS Of round and off-round body shapes. Generally well matched creamy white body colours with pink, green and silver overtones. Fair/Good lustres, all with visible blemishes and pinpoints, a few with dimples, some with uneven areas of growth.
