SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, RING AND EARRING SUITE 1st: Sapphire and diamond necklace Oval-cut sapphire Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.45ct total 18 carat white gold Maker's mark ALd, London hallmark, European convention mark Lengths: pendant 2.0cm, chain 45.0cm 2nd: Sapphire and diamond ring Step-cut sapphire Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.20ct total 18 carat white gold UK hallmark Ring size approx. M½ 3rd: Oval-cut sapphires Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.40ct total 18 carat white gold Maker's mark ALd, UK hallmark, European convention mark Length 1.2cm Total weight approx. 9.0g (3) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Overall good condition with minimal surface wear, the ring with a few light scratches visible upon close inspection. Necklace clasp secure. Earrings with post fittings, only suitable for pierced ears. 1st pendant with rubbed mark (possibly DIA 25) to reverse, reverse of pendant and chain with maker's mark ALd, London hallmark and European convention mark to reverse of pendant. 2nd inner hoop with maker's mark GSL and UK hallmark. 3rd earring posts with maker's mark ALd, UK hallmark and European convention mark. SAPPHIRES 1st: The sapphire measuring approx. 7.0 x 5.1 x 3.6mm, displaying a medium to dark blue hue with good transparency, colour banding visible under closer inspection. 2nd: The sapphire measuring approx. 7.1 x 5.0 (depth not possible due to setting), displaying a dark blue hue with good transparency. With 10x magnification and strong light, colour banding visible. 3rd: Bright, lively, of medium blue hue with excellent transparency. Under 10x magnification and strong light, some colour banding visible. DIAMONDS Well matched, bright and lively, estimated as H/I colour, VS-SI clarity, assessed in mount. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
