PASTE RIVIÈRE NECKLACE, 19TH CENTURY Cushion-shaped paste Foiled, closed-back settings Central paste with pendant fitting French assay marks Mounted in silver and gold Length 41.8cm Weight approx. 38.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Reverse of clasp stamped with French assay marks (eagle's head). Some surface wear to unhallmarked metal (testing as silver and 5ct gold) in the form of scuffs and some discolouration to metal, commensurate with age. Some small dents visible to some links, some spots of solder. Clasp secure. PASTE Some nicks, abrasion and small conchoidal fractures visible under 10x magnification.
