The cultured pearls slightly off-round, displaying a cream body colour with some rose overtones and a medium to high lustre. Wrinkles and blemishes visible under closer inspection, some pearls with nacre loss around drill hole, and holes visible. 2nd: Light surface wear to the unhallmarked yellow metal (testing as 9ct gold) including minor spots of discolouration. Some yellow glue residue visible to the base of pearls. Earrings with post fittings, only suitable for pierced ears. Cultured pearls displaying predominantly smooth nacre. 3rd: Light surface wear to 9 carat gold including minor spots of discolouration to the reverse of brooch. Reverse with maker's mark H.B., UK hallmark for 9 carat gold and date letter O. Garnets displaying a medium red hue with good transparency. Small chips visible under 10x magnification.
