SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING Rectangular step-cut sapphire, approx. 2.50cts Cushion-shaped diamonds, approx. 0.80ct total Ring size approx. J½ Weight approx. 2.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to unhallmarked metal (testing as 8-9ct gold). Inner hoop has illegible partially stamped maker's mark. Some discolouration eye visible to metal. loss of metal to reverse of mount. SAPPHIRE Measuring approx. 8.2 x 6.6 x 4.6mm, displaying a greenish blue hue, some nicks and abrasion visible to facet edges under closer inspection. Some colour zoning, crystals and white clouds visible under 10x magnification. DIAMONDS Estimated as VS2-SI1 clarity, colour not possible due to setting.
