RUBY AND DIAMOND RING Invisibly-set with calibré-cut rubies Brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.45ct total Ring size approx. N½ Weight approx. 11.0g Footnotes: This style, known as 'Serti Mystérieux' or 'Mystery Setting', was developed in the early 20th century by several French jewellers, however it was perfected and patented in France in 1933 by Van Cleef & Arpels. OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to unhallmarked yellow metal (testing as 17ct gold). Inner hoop with rubbed mark 750 and 81. RUBIES Displaying a medium pinkish red hue with good transparency, some with small nicks visible under 10x magnification.
