SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND BAR BROOCH, CIRCA 1930 Calibré-cut sapphires Old brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 2.25cts total French assay mark Length 8.3cm Weight approx. 10.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Some surface wear to unhallmarked white metal (testing as platinum), some small scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. Side of brooch with partially struck French assay mark (dog head). Pin fitting with unidentified indistinct mark. Pin slightly bent, but appears secure. SAPPHIRES Displaying a medium to dark purplish blue hue with some variation in tone. Some chips and abrasion visible under 10x magnification.
