NATURAL PEARL NECKLACE WITH DIAMOND-SET CLASP, CIRCA 1910 Graduated 2.9 - 5.9mm natural pearls Old brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.30ct Rose-cut diamonds Accompanied by one loose 2.9mm cultured pearl Length 38.0cm Weight 9.0g Footnotes: The Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain: One hundred strung pearls weighing 35.56 carats testing as natural, and one loose pearl weighing 0.17 carat testing as cultured. 22nd November 1988, report no. 117986. OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to bi-coloured metal, unhallmarked but testing as. Clasp secure. PEARLS Off-round, displaying a cream bodycolour with rose, green and silver overtones and a high lustre. The generally smooth nacre with some ringing, and some minor dimpling and pitting visible under 10x magnification.
