Carboard with printed paper top featuring portraits of Mary and Abraham Lincoln and Log Cabin, after 1915. 2. Mary Lincoln Candies, Buffalo, NY, 'Fruits Nuts Creams Hard and Chewys.' Circular candy tin featuring scene of Dutch windmills to cover. The Mary Lincoln Candy Company opened in 1916 in Buffalo, NY, hoping that the familiarity of the Lincoln name would be good for business. The company expanded quickly, and by 1922 had opened 80 stores, including the Mary Lincoln Candy and Coffee Shops in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and other cities throughout America.
