A Series of Thirty-one Designs, 31 chromolithographed plates (including frontispiece and title) by Hanhart after designs by Pugin, publisher's morocco-backed decorative cloth gilt, t.e.g., rubbed, H.G. Bohn, 1849--[LEIGHTON (JOHN), under pseudonym of Luke Limner] Suggestions in Design... for the Use of Artists and Art-workmen, frontispiece and 47 plates (some with numerals altered in pencil), publisher's blind- and gilt-stamped cloth designed by Leighton, neatly recased with spine ends neatly repaired [King 143], David Bogue, 1853--SHAW (HENRY) The Encyclopaedia of Ornament, chromolithographed pictorial title, 59 plates (some hand-coloured), early ownership inscription of 'Mary A. Smith, 10 Kensington Court Mansions' on the half-title, contemporary morocco-backed marbled boards, rubbed [McLean VBD, p.65], William Pickering, 1842--DE LA MOTTE (PHILIP) Choice Examples of Art Workmanship, selected from the Exhibition of Ancient and Mediaeval Art at the Society of Arts, half-title, 60 uncoloured plates, occasional spotting, publisher's decorative boards printed in colours, metal studs in corners of covers, rebacked preserving original spine, corners worn but generally bright [McLean VBD, p.72 'chiefly remarkable for a splendidly decorative binding design...'], Cundall & Addey, 1851; idem, another copy, ALL PLATES PRINTED IN COLOURS, some spotting, library stamp on title, one plate and inside upper cover, full maroon morocco gilt by Hayday, g.e., joints slightly rubbed, 1851--JONES (OWEN) The Leading Principles in Composition of Ornament of Every Period, from the Grammar of Ornament....
