Paar seltene Cloisonné-Vierkantvasen - massiver schwerer Korpus in hochrechteckiger Cong-Form mit leicht ausgestellten Hals und Rundfuß, auf den vier Seiten türkisgrundiger Dekor von idyllischen Berglandschaften mit hochaufragenden Felsengebilden, üppiger Vegetation, verspielter Pavillonarchitektur und wabernden Wolkenbändern, dabei sind jeweils zwei identische Szenerien abwechselnd angebracht: auf der einen Seite führt unten eine verwinkelte Brücke über einen See zum auf pfeilergestützter Plattform stehenden Pavillon, auf der anderen Seite scheinen sich Pilger auf den Weg zum Berggipfel begeben zu wollen, Fuß, Schulter und Hals mit Lotosblüten verbunden durch aufgerolltes Blattwerk, Ränder und Stege vergoldet, minimale Materialverluste in der Oberfläche, im Boden eingepresste 4-Zeichen-Kaishu-Marke "Qianlong Nian Zhi" (Regierungszeit 1736-1795), China, frühes 19.Jh, H.ca.32cm
A Pair of Rare Cloisonné Enamel Square 'Landscape' Vases - of cong-shape, China, early 19th century, each with four panels to the body, these panels are elaborately decorated against a turquoise ground with two different scenes of pavilions in a idyllic mountainous landscape setting amidst large rockwork, rampant trees and ribbonlike clouds, on one scene an angular bridge over a lake leads to a pavilion standing on a platform supported on pilings, on another some pilgrims seem to be on their way to the top of the mountain, the shoulder, neck and pedestal foot similarly worked to show lotus scroll on a turquoise ground, bearing a four-character Qianlong mark to the underside (emperor 1736-1795), approx.12,59 in. (32 cm) high, only slight wear to the gilt and chipping to the enamels due to age
